Britain's Got Talent has proven to be an amazing reality show, bringing some amazingly talented people to the forefront of the world. Welcoming people of all ages to perform a whole range of talents (from singing, dancing to circus acts and comedy), the show has been entertaining throughout its history.

With Simon Cowell being joined by a range of judges over the years, this series has brought some hilariously bad auditions, but ultimately some amazing victors. While not everybody who wins goes on to have long-lasting success and fame, the series has allowed some fantastic stars to be born. But out of the original 10 winners, who was truly the best?

10Jai McDowall (Season 5)

Jai McDowall singing on Britain's Got Talent

In 2011, Jai McDowall won Britain's Got Talent, and he is someone whose talent was singing. He was a great singer and performer (hence why he won that year) but, out of all the first 10 winners, he was the one that stood out the least and never quite caught on afterward.

Jai didn't go on to have major success, and he was dropped by his record label after his original album didn't hit the level of sales needed. He was also involved in Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, which brought the best of the best together, but Jai wasn't able to make it past the first round.

9Jules O'Dwyer & Matisse (Season 9)

Jules Matisse performing on Britain's Got Talent

Anybody who has ever watched Britain's Got Talent will know that Simon Cowell has a soft spot for an act featuring animals, in particular dogs. That is why when Jules O'Dwyer and her dog, Matisse, appeared and proved to be talented, it was clear they would do well.

There's no doubt they were entertaining to watch, with the tricks and flicks being well put together. However, the act didn't have the longevity that some others have done. Plus, there was one superior dog act that won the show before this.

8Richard Jones (Season 10)

Richard Jones performing magic on Britains Got Talent

The 10th winner of Britain's Got Talent just so happened to be a magician. There's been a lot of great magic acts on the series over the years, but it was Richard who became the first to go all the way and actually win the competition.

He was entertaining to watch, with his personality really coming across as he performed his magic. Of course, the magic that he performed was also fun and really got the attention of the audience, but he hasn't managed to continue making a big name for himself since the show ended.

7Spellbound (Season 4)

Spellbound performing on Britain's Got Talent

Much like Richard, Spellbound was amazing to watch, with this gymnastic group leaving audiences thoroughly entertained whenever they performed. However, they haven't had the lasting impact that they should have done in the long term.

The group always put on a show, and that is what made them great winners. Since that point, they have been able to perform at the 2012 London Olympic Games, but other than that, they haven't been seen much.

6Collabro (Season 8)

Collabro performing on Britain's Got Talent

Collabro took the world by storm when they wowed audiences with their version of "Stars" from the musical, Les Miserables. The group continued to impress throughout the series and were deserving winners, with their chemistry and vocal ability being superb.

Their original album actually managed to knock Ed Sheeran's album off the top spot, proving their popularity. Since that point, the group hasn't quite maintained that level of success and popularity, but they have still done well, having now released six albums.

5Attraction (Season 7)

Attraction, performing their stage show on Britain's Got Talent

Attraction made history with their victory on the show, becoming the first foreign group to win the competition, and they amazed audiences with their act, proving themselves to be deserving champions. The group were shadow theatre performers, who told stories by creating shapes and locations through their bodies with shadows.

They were very entertaining to watch and the skill level that they had was immense. They drove audiences to tears with the stories that they told, and their ability to entertain made them some of the most memorable champions the show has ever had.

4George Sampson (Season 2)

George Sampson dancing on Britain's Got Talent

George Sampson was only 14 when he appeared on Britain's Got Talent, which made his victory even more impressive. The street dancer was amazing with his performances, with his famous "Singing In The Rain" dance being one of the most iconic moments in the history of the show.

Sampson is someone who everybody remembers from the show and is an act that audiences loved. He went on to have an excellent career after the show as well, from acting in Waterloo Road, being involved in Emmerdale, to featuring in the British comedy film, StreetDance. He's had an amazing career and it all stemmed from this moment.

3Ashleigh And Pudsey (Season 6)

Ashleigh and Pudsey from Britain's Got Talent

As previously mentioned, Simon Cowell loves acts involving dogs, and Ashleigh and Pudsey were the first to win the series. The act was very popular and from the first audition they were a hit with viewers, so it's not completely surprising that they had gone on to have even more success.

A movie was actually created based on Ashleigh and Pudsey, and the dog had also been involved in other television shows as well. Sadly, in 2017, Ashleigh did announce that Pudsey had died. Everyone will agree that they would never forget this lovable pooch

2Paul Potts (Season 1)

Paul Potts singing on Britain's Got Talent

Paul Potts was the original champion on Britain's Got Talent and he remains one of the greatest and most successful. Paul showcased his amazing singing ability with his operatic tones, and he has continued to be a big star ever since the show.

He has appeared consistently on television to sing, being involved in various competitions around the entire world. Paul has also released seven albums since winning the show, building an excellent career for himself.

1Diversity (Season 3)

Diversity performing on Britain's Got Talent

Out of every act that has won Britain's Got Talent, Diversity has been the one to stick in people's minds for the longest time. This dance group has had an unbelievable amount of success since winning the show, going on countless tours to keep entertaining people.

But several of the key members in Diversity have also built brilliant careers in television as well, whether it's appearing on other reality shows, or just being involved in as many projects as possible. The group had some fantastic dances, and they haven't looked back since winning, constantly staying ahead of the game to remain relevant.
